JJ Gossett, Lieutenant Gov. Division 12& 22
Hello,
My name is J.J. Gossett, and I am the Lt. Governor for Key Club divisions 12 and 22. I would like to share with you a little bit about myself, and I look forward to meeting all of you this year. First of all, I am a junior at San Angelo Central High School, and I play volleyball on our high school team, as well as a select team. I also enjoy drag racing my Jr. Dragster and a T-Roadster with my family on the weekends! This past year, I was the president of the sophomore class. Academically, I am in the top 1% of my class. I would like to become an anesthesiologist once I graduate from college. When I retire, I want to be a youth minister and, on my free time, a professional drag racer! Also, I am the junior representative for Tri-hi-Y and I am actively involved in the Spanish Club, Student Council, and Believers in Christ. I am a very busy person, but I manage my time wisely, and I am extremely organized.

I strongly believe that a leader is not someone that surrounds everything around their own ideas, but will get input and opinions from others, so anytime you have a suggestion, feel free to share it with me. I can relate to others, and I am a very social person. I love to have fun, and I'm hoping I will bring some excitement to Key Club this year.

One goal I have is I hope we all experience what Key Club is truly about. Key Club isn't simply participating in community service events, but actually getting involved and touching others' lives and hearts. An idea I had for my divisional project was for West Texas Renal Center and St. Jude's Children Hospital. With the Renal Center, I want to donate magazines and blankets to the patients with kidney failure on dialysis. Their treatments are three hours long, three days a week, and they always talk about how cold it is in the hospital! Also, I know that they would greatly appreciate having something to read to keep them busy during their times there. For St. Jude's, I would like to send books and toys to the children that are diagnosed with leukemia. I know, as a child, it would be hard to be in a hospital, and I would love to have a few toys to play with. I am sure this would mean a lot to them. I am very excited about taking Key Club to the next level this year!

Thanks again,
J.J. Gossett-Divisions 12 & 22
